Selecting the Focus Mode
Focus Modes
		The camera focuses on the object in the focusing area

	mode	on the object in the focusing area when the shutter
		release button is pressed halfway.
s	Infinity-Landscape	This mode is used for taking distant objects. The flash is
	mode	automatically set to a (flash off).
z	Manual Focus	This mode lets you adjust the focus manually with the
	mode	four-way controller.

1 Press the ) button in Capture mode.

The focus mode changes each time the button is pressed and the icon appears on the LCD monitor.

The camera is ready to take pictures in the selected focus mode.

Make sure that the surface of the lens is clean as any dirt on the lens in rmode may cause the camera to focus on the dirt rather than on the subject.

• The default setting is Autofocus mode.

• Only the digital zoom can be used in r mode.
