Chapter 5 General Cleaning

CAUTION Use caution in handling to avoid damaging or breaking the charger wires.

14.Using the brush cleaner and the wire cleaner, clean the chargers by removing the dust and dirt on the wires. (The precharger contains one wire, while the transfer/separator charger contains two wires).

15.After cleaning, return the chargers to their original positions. Fasten the charger screws to secure them.

CAUTION The fuser unit remains hot after operation. Wait until it has

completely cooled down before handling it.
