The first fold of the paper should be facing toward the printer. Otherwise, a paper jam could occur during printing (see below).

3.Pass the leading edge of the paper between the lower paper guides, as shown in the illustration above.

To prevent jams, the first fold of the paper faces toward the printer as shown.
