Changing Printer Configurations

In order to properly configure the printer, it is important that you have a current configuration printout, as described previously. From this printout, determine which parameters you need to change for the printer to operate correctly with the host computer, or your specific applications.

To change printer settings such as paper length, emulation, and host I/O interface, do the following steps:

	Step	Press		LCD Message
1.	Place the printer offline.	ON LINE		OFFLINE
				PAPER CONTROL
2.	Unlock the ENTER key.			ENTER SWITCH
			+	UNLOCKED
3.	Scroll through the menu until			OFFLINE
	you reach the appropriate		OR	HOST INTERFACE
	menu.
4.	Select the menu to access			HOST INTERFACE
	available parameters or			Centronics
	submenus.
5.	Scroll through the submenus or			HOST INTERFACE
	parameters until you reach the		OR	Serial
	one you want.
6.	Select this submenu parameter			Serial
	to access the value options.			Host Protocol
7.	Scroll through the submenu			Serial
	options until you reach the		OR	Baud Rate
	desired value.
