Printer advances media, but ribbon does not advance

Possible causes include the following:

Ribbon installed incorrectly. Make sure the dull side (inked side) of the ribbon is facing the media.

Bad ribbon/media combination, resulting in insufficient friction between media and ribbon. Verify that the correct ribbon is being used.

Print quality is good but printer skips every other label

A possible cause is that the label is formatted too close to the top edge of the form. Leave white space equal to eight dot rows at the top of the label.

Print is light on right side of label

Possible causes include the following:

Media width adjustment cam is set for a narrower width than the width of the media being used.

Printhead is adjusted for thick media or card stock.

Printhead misaligned.

Printer fails to turn on.

Possible causes include the following:

Blown fuse. Call your authorized Printronix service representative.

Faulty AC cord.

Bad printer power switch. Call your authorized Printronix service representative.

Faulty AC wall outlet.

Power indicator on but nothing in display

Possible causes include:

Contrast set too low. Turn contrast adjustment clockwise until the display appears.

Faulty display. Call your authorized service representative.
