Media Rewind Hub

When large quantities of labels must be printed as single batches for later use,
the printer may be equipped with a rewind hub that will automatically roll up the
label media for convenient handling. The rewind hub is also used in conjunction
with the peel-and-present option to roll up the used media backing after labels
have been peeled off. Location of the media rewind hub is shown in Figure B–2.
The media rewind hub is a factory-installed option only. To use the media rewind
hub, refer to page 2–11.

Cutter

The printer may be ordered with a cutter mechanism installed (for cutting tags and
labels), or the option can be installed by the user at a later date. The cutter option
attaches to the printer using the same method as for tear-off assembly installation.
When properly installed, and the CUTTER function within the printer menu system
is set to ENABLE, the cutter is automatically activated by the printer.

Label Present Sensor

This option provides the means to detect the presence of a label at the exit throat
of the printer. It is normally used to detect the following:
•A label has been manually removed using the tear bar
•A label has been manually removed using the peel-and-present option
The sensor is included with the automatic label peel-off dispenser kit.
