3–26 Configuring the Printer
NOTE: When using IGP/PGL, determine the proper narrow web width with
the HDUP command used to duplicate the label. Generally, it should
be the same as the distance between duplications given in the
HDUP command (or some multiple of the distance between
duplications).

Selection

Selects whether to use the auto label mapping feature. If disabled, the auto label
mapping parameters are not used. There are two different “states” of enable:

Enable: Page=Narrow Web

– The printer treats a page as each of the
individual strips or labels that are printed. This affects the position used
for cutting or tearing a label. With this selection, if the labels are to be cut
(or torn off), the printer will cut label after each label.

Enable: Page=Wide Web

– The printer treats a page as the entire string
of labels printed from the original page. This affects the position used for
cutting or tearing a label. With this selection, if the labels are to be cut or
torn, the printer will cut the label only after all the labels from the original
page are printed.
NOTE: When in the self-strip mode, the printer must be configured to
Enable: Page=Narrow Web. If the printer is programmed to cut or
tear from the emulation, but not after every page or label, the printer
must be configured to Enable: Page=Wide Web.
Print Mode
This option specifies the printing mode: direct thermal or thermal transfer.
Ribbon Selection
This menu contains part numbers for Printronix ribbons and one “other” selection.
When a part number is selected, the print speed and print intensity are set to
predefined defaults.
