Operator Panels

The primary operator panel is used to perform routine, day-to-day operations. The panel contains three operator-accessible keys and three LED indicator lights, used to control and indicate printer status.

There is also a secondary operator panel, consisting of an (LCD) message display and six keys. This is used to configure the printer and to run self-tests via the configuration menus.

NOTE: In addition to the primary and secondary controls, an operator adjustment (page 2±23) is provided to compensate for different media widths. If different media thicknesses are encountered, it may be necessary to adjust the printhead pressure. If such an adjustment is required, contact your trained Printronix service representative.

The following pages describe the status LEDs and keys comprising the primary operator panel, along with the related operating modes.

NOTE: Refer to the ªConfiguring the Printechapter for complete instructions in how to access and use the secondary operator panel.
