The printer is shipped with an auto-ranging AC power supply that automatically
adjusts for proper operation at any AC input voltage between 90–132 or 180–264
VAC, 50/60 Hz. The operating AC input current for the printer will not exceed 7.0
amps and 3.5 amps for AC input voltages of 115 VAC and 230 VAC, respectively.
Line voltage should not fluctuate more than 10% and the printer should be
connected to a properly grounded receptacle.
The printer is shipped with a power cord, located in the Country Kit ordered with
the printer. Be sure that you have the proper power cord for your specific
installation. If there are any concerns about the configuration of the printer or of
the outlet you are connecting to, check with a qualified electrician or service
technician to verify the installation before connecting power.
The printer must be connected to an appropriate AC power source; otherwise,
the printer will not operate properly and may be damaged.
The power source must be properly grounded. Since large power fluctuations can
cause the printer to malfunction, it should be connected to a “noise-free” power
source, not subject to surges or noise generated by motors, lighting, or air
conditioning equipment on the same circuit. To allow for an adequate power
cable run, the printer should be placed no more than eight feet (2.5 meters) from
the power outlet.
