Printer Options
BPrinter Options
A comprehensive series of options is offered with the printer to enhance its
capabilities and to provide a large degree of application flexibility. A description of
the option complement is given below. For field-installable options, installation
instructions are provided with each option.
Memory Options
Available memory options include internal and external expansions. Both are
described in the following paragraphs.
External Memory Modules
The printer has two standard Printronix external memory module slots. The slots
are located toward the rear of the printer and may be accessed from the stock
door side (see Figure B–1). External memory modules are used to expand the
printer’s built-in capabilities.
There are three primary uses for the modules:
•Storing graphic images
•Storing of additional fonts
•Storing label formats that can be recalled by host computers
