8.2.2 QCL ”UP” and ”DN” position

Before beginning
[1] Switch the QCL Starter Kit OFF.		1

Material needed
• 1 set of Allen keys.
• 1 ohmmeter.
• 1 FP-QCL laser contact plate.
• 1 pair of tweezers.		2

Procedure
To exchange the beam of a Quantum Cascade Laser,
proceed as follows:		3

[1] Remove the top cover (2) of the Laboratory		4
Laser Housing (LLH100) by unscrewing the		4
screws (1).
[2] Remove the PET U-shaped holder (4) by
unscrewing the ﬁxing screws (3).
Caution ! Pay attention NOT to drop the
laser!
[3] Remove the gilded copper contact (6) by
unscrewing the back screw (5).
