Optional Features for Transmission	FAXING

Page Count (Immediate Transmission only)

When your fax message is printed at the other end, page numbers will be printed on the top of each page. Using the Page Count feature, you can select the format in which the page numbers are printed.

If you use Page Count:

Page numbers will be printed in batch-numbering format (for example, p1/3, p2/3, and p3/3 for a three-page message). This makes it easy for the other party to see how many pages you sent, and if any are missing. However, you have to input the number of pages at the keypad before sending.

If you do not use Page Count:

Page numbers will be printed only as a sequence (for example, p1, p2, p3). This makes it difficult for the other party to tell at a glance whether any pages are missing (for example, due to a double feed in your machine’s documentY/k feeder).

Note:If you do not select Immediate Transmission, Page Count is automat- ically switched on, and the pages are counted automatically.

If the numbering with page count appears strange, check that the page count value matches the number of pages in your document.
