- allows yo u to change the paper size, the pa per
type, an d th e o r ien tation o f th e do cu ments, enables the
duplex feature, adds start and end banners, and changes
the number of pages per sheet.
Text
- allows you to specify the page m argins and se t the
text options, such as spacing or columns.
Graphics
- allows you to set imag e options that are us ed
when printing images/files, such as color options, image
size, or image position.
Device
: allows yo u to set th e print r e so lution, paper
source, and destination.

The Printing window appears, allowing you to monitor the
status of your print job.

Printing Files

You can print many different types of files on the Samsung
machine device using the standard CUPS wa y - directly from
the command line interface. The CUPS lpr utility allows yo u do
that. But the driver s package replaces the stand ard lpr tool by
a much more user-friendly Samsung LPR program.
To print any document file:

lpr <file_name>

from the Linux shell co mm and

When you type only

lpr

and press
Enter
, the Selec t
file(s) to prin t win d ow a pp e ar s first. Just se lect any files
you want to print and click
Open
.

In the LPR GUI window, select your printer from the list,
and change the printer and print job properties.

to start printing.

Scanning a Document (for MFP

device only)

Y ou can scan a document using the Unified Driver Configurator
window.

Double-click the Unified Driver Configurator on your
desktop.

Click the button to switch to Scanners Configuration.

Select the scanner on the list.
When you have only one MFP device and it is connected
to the computer and turned on, your scanner appears on
the list and is automatically selected.
If you have two or more scanners attached to your
computer, you can select any scanner to work at any
time. For exam ple, while acquisition is in progress on the
first scanner, you may se lect the second sca nner, set the
device options and start the image acquisition
simultaneously.

: The scanner name shown in Scanners configuration
