The following topics provide an overview of items you can change using your device’s Settings menus.

Wi-Fi Settings

The Wi-Fi settings menu lets you control your device's Wi-Fi settings.

Your device lets you take advantage of Wi-Fi for high-speed data access using available computer networks. For details on your device’s Wi-Fi features and settings, see Wi-Fi.

►Press and tap > (Settings) > Wi-Fi. The ON/OFF slider displays ON when Wi-Fi is active.

Wi-Fi Direct

Wi-Fi Direct allows device-to-device connections so you can transfer large amounts of data over a Wi-Fi connection.

Activate a Connection

1.Press and tap > > Wi-Fi.

2.Tap Wi-Fi Direct to set up a peer-to-peer connection over Wi-Fi.

Note: The target device must also have Wi-Fi Direct service active and running before it can be detected by your device.

Assign a Unique Name

1.Press and tap > > Wi-Fi.

2.Tap Wi-Fi Direct.

3.Tap > Rename device.

4.Modify the current name and then tap OK.
