4. In the SCSI Select utility, verify that the printer
has the same SCSI ID set as is being addressed
by the host computer.
5. In the SCSI Select utility, set the transfer rate to
10 MB/sec and disable disconnect.
6. Print from the host computer to ensure that all of
the elements are connected and working
properly.
7. If you are able to print using commands from the
host computer, the computer/printer interface is
working properly. The problem probably exists
elsewhere. Contact your service representative
for assistance.
Common operating problems
The following are some common operating problems with symptom
descriptions and suggested actions.

Cutter does not cut
cleanly -- Replace the cutter.
Cutter does not operate
Incorrect cutter setting at
operation panel
Cutter is stuck
Check the cutter mode. If
the mode is set to NO CUT,
set the mode to NORMAL

“Ink Empty” is displayed
when the ink exists
-- Ensure that the ink cap is fully
inserted into the ink bottle.
Poor image quality

Change the print mode to
print in higher mode.
