4.13 Wiring the Signal Modules

Procedure

How to connect your sensors and actuators to the S7-400 signal modules:

1. Wirethe front connector.

This includes all incoming and outgoing connections of the sensorsan actuators.

2. Installthe front connector on the module.

The Three Typesof Front Connector

Three types of front connector are available for the S7-400 signal modules:

•Front connector with crimp terminals

•Front connector with screw terminals

•Front connector with spring loaded terminals.
