Short test
❏Make sure that paper is loaded in the printer.
❏Turn the printer off.
❏While holding down the control panel’s ON LINE button, turn the printer on.
The short test prints the version number of the software contained in the printer’s
ROM, followed by the current EDS settings of the printer.
Long test
❏Make sure that paper is loaded in the printer.
❏Turn the printer off.
❏While holding down the control panel’s PAPER FEED button, turn the printer
on.
The long test prints seven lines of text. If you are using a color ribbon, each line of
text is printed using a different color. This is followed by continuous printing of the
entire character set using each font and pitch available. This sequence is repeated
until you stop it by turning power off.
Since this test can generate many lines of text and graphics, it is a good idea to
perform this test only when using continuous fanfold paper rather than single sheets.
Note:
The short test prints across the entire width of the carriage. Make sure that the
printer is loaded with the widest paper available in order to avoid damage to the
print head and platen.

Test court

mettez l’imprimante sous tension.
Le test complet imprime sept lignes de texte. Si un ruban couleur est utilisé, chaque
ligne du texte est imprimée dans une couleur différente, puis de l’impression
continue du jeu de caractères dans chaque police et chaque pas disponibles.
L’impression est répétée jusqu’à ce que vous l’arrêtiez en mettant l’imprimante hors
tension.
Etant donné que ce test imprime beaucoup de lignes et de tableaux, il est préférable
de l’effectuer sur du papier continu plutôt que des feuilles séparées.
Remarque:
Etant donné que l’impression du test court occupe toute la largeur du chariot,
prévoyez du papier de largeur suffisante pour éviter d’endommager la tête
