a. Set the UHF signal generatorFrequency to 1400 MHz, and Amplitude to
--60 dBm.
b. CHECK -- that the tip canbe positioned 2 Divisions left and right of
center.
c. Set the UHF signal generator Amplitude to --30dBm.
d. Position baseline on the --60 graticule referenceline.
e. CHECK -- that the markertip can be positioned 3 Divisions down from
its present position.
f. CHECK --that the baseline can be positioned to the --30graticule line.
14. Check 2 dB/DIV Gain
REQUIREMENT-- Greaterthan 1 Division of amplitude change while
changing from --50 dBm to --53dBm.
a. Set the UHF signal generatorFrequency to 1400 MHz, and Amplitude to
--50 dBm.
b. Hold the VIDEO push button until 2 dB/Div appearson the crt readout.
c. Use the CENTER FREQUENCY control to locate the 1400 MHz
marker.
d. Select 100 kHz SPAN/DIV. Using CENTER FREQUENCY and
VERTICALcontrols, check that the marker tip can be positioned on
screen.
e. Return to FULL SPAN.
f. Turnthe 1705A SWEEP SP EED controlfully counterclockwise.
g. CHECK --for more than 1 Division of amplitude change while
switching the frequencygenerator between --50dBm and --53 dBm.
h. CHECK -- that the noise floor can be positioned on screen.
i. Hold the VIDEO push button down againto exit the 2 dB/Div mode.
