Printing a list of fonts

You can print a list of the printerÕs resident fonts by downloading a utility Þle to the printer.

Printing a font list from a Macintosh

1.Install the sampler and utility Þles from either the Installer for Mac¨ OS Diskette 1 or the printerÕs CD-ROM; see page 3-17 for details.

2.In the Chooser, select the appropriate printer.

3.On your computerÕs hard disk, locate the PhaserTools folder; locate the Apple Printer Utility and double-click its icon to start the application.

4.From the Utilities menu, choose Download PostScript File.

5.Select the Font Sampler Þle from the list, then click Open. (This Þle was installed inside the PhaserTools folder, in the Samplers folder.)

6.If no output is returned by the printer, the Apple Printer Utility displays a dialog box; click OK to continue.

Printing a font list from a PC

1.From the printerÕs CD-ROM or the Printer Software for Windows diskette, locate the SAMPLERS directory and the FONTS.PS Þle.

2.Copy the FONTS.PS Þle to your computerÕs hard disk or use the Þle directly from the CD-ROM.

3.To send the FONTS.PS Þle to the printer:

PC users: Use the DOS Copy command. (Windows 3.1 users can also use the Copy command in the File Manager.)

Workstation users: Send the Þle to the printer as you would any PostScript Þle.
