Microwave Cooking Chart – Upper Oven
Defrosting
•Defrost uncooked meat, fish and poultry using 30% power.
•Defrost food when oven is cool (not immediately after using the JETDIRECT convection or COOKSMART modes).
•Remove all meat, poultry and fish from package. Failure to remove will cause steam to develop inside the closed package and food will begin cooking before defrosting is complete.
•Place meats on flat tray/dish or microwave roasting rack to catch drippings.
•Allow meat to stand after removing to complete defrosting.
•Place items on upper rack when defrosting.
