Using HDMI® CEC

vMUTE button turns off the sound. To use this function:

vSet Initial Speaker Setting to Receiver in the HDMI CEC Control Setup menu.

vConfirm that a connected HDMI® CEC device (such as DVD player, etc.) is selected for the Audio Receiver input source.

v These functions depend on the device connected.

vInitial Speaker Setting will be grayed out if Amplifier Control is set to Off.

Other HDMI® CEC functions

When the Enable HDMI CEC Control and each item in the HDMI CEC Control Setup menu are set to On, the following functions will be enabled.

TV Auto Power

If an HDMI® CEC device is turned on, the TV turns on automatically.

 

 

Auto Standby

If the TV is turned off, the TV will send a message to turn off all of the

 

HDMI® CEC devices connected to the TV.

Amplifier Control

If Amplifier Control is set to On, you can adjust the sound volume or turn

 

off the sound using the remote control.

 

 

Initial Speaker Setting

From this item, you can set your audio output preference to the TV

 

speakers or the audio receiver speakers. When this item is set to

 

Receiver, the TV remote can be used to adjust or mute the volume of the

 

audio. This item will be grayed out when Amplifier Control is set to Off.

 

 

 

 

When you turn on the Audio Receiver, change its input source or adjust the sound volume, the sound will be output from the audio receiver’s speakers even if TV Speakers has been selected. Turn the TV off and on again to output the sound from the TV speakers.

Setting up HDMI® CEC

To set the HDMI® CEC Setup:

1From the Options menu, highlight HDMI CEC Control Setup and press the ENTER button.
