5 CHANGING EQUIPMENT’S SETTINGS

5 Select the mode of the density adjustment with the and but- tons, and then press the [ENTER] button.

AUTO: The equipment detects the density of an original and sets the appropriate copy density automatically.

MANUAL: You can set the copy density manually.

If “AUTO” is selected, the automatic copy density mode is set and the screen returns to the menu in step 4. Proceed to step 7.

When you select “MANUAL”, proceed to step 6.

6 Select the density with the and buttons, and then press the [ENTER] button.

The density can be set in seven levels from “LIGHT3” (Lighter) to “DARK3” (Darker).

7 Press the [USER FUNCTIONS] button or (copy mode) button. The screen returns to the “copy mode” main screen.

After the [FUNCTION CLEAR] button is pressed or the time of the automatic function clear has passed, the setting becomes enabled.
