9-1. Indoor Unit

9-1-1. Test Run Setup on Remote Controller

<Wired remote controller>

1. When pushing TEST button on the remote controller for 4 seconds or more, “TEST” is displayed on LC display. Then push ON / OFF button.

“TEST” is displayed on LC display during operation of Test Run.

During Test Run, temperature cannot be adjusted but air volume can be selected.

In heating and cooling operation, a command to fix the Test Run frequency is output.

Detection of error is performed as usual.

However, do not use this function except case of Test Run because it applies load on the unit.

2.Use either heating or cooling operation mode for [TEST].

NOTE : The outdoor unit does not operate after power has been turned on or for approx. 3 minutes after operation has stopped.

3.After a Test Run has finished, push TEST button again and check that [TEST] on LC display has gone off. (To prevent a continuous test run operation, 60-minutes timer release function is provided to this remote controller.)

9-1-2. Forced Defrost Setup of Remote Controller (For wired remote controller only)

(Preparation in advance)

1 Push TEST + SET + CL buttons simultaneously for 4 seconds or more on the remote controller. (Push buttons while the air conditioner stops.)

The first displayed unit No. is the master indoor unit address in the group control.

2 Every pushing UNIT button, the indoor unit No. in the group control is displayed one after the other.

Select a main indoor unit (outdoor unit is connected) which is to be defrosted.

In this time, fan and louver of the selected indoor unit operate.

Using the set temperature TEMP. buttons, specify the CODE No. (DN) 8C.

Using the timer time TIME buttons, set time to data 0001. (0000 at shipment) Push SET button. (OK if indication lights)

Pushing TEST button returns the status to the normal stop status.

(Practical operation)

Push ON/OFF ON / OFF Key.

Select the HEAT mode.

After while, the forced defrost signal is sent to the outdoor unit and then the outdoor unit starts defrost operation. (The forced defrost operation is performed for Max. 12 minutes.)

After defrost operation finished, the operation returns to the heating operation.

To execute the defrost operation again, start procedure from above item 1 .

(If the forced defrost operation was executed once, setting of the above forced defrost operation is cleared.)
