Before You Start
CentreWare Internet Services network software provided with the copier/ printer will be used during this procedure to customize the printer network connectivity settings. The printer supports the AppleTalk Phase 2 protocol.
Make certain that your printer is properly connected to the network with the appropriate cabling. See Chapter 1 Network Printer Features for detailed information on making the physical connections needed to install the printer on your network.
Obtain a Configuration Report (printed approximately 5 minutes after every printer power off and on sequence, if this feature has not been disabled) to verify that AppleTalk is enabled, and to view other current settings on the copier/printer. If AppleTalk is not enabled, see Step 1 Customizing Printer Connectivity Settings for information on enabling AppleTalk.
Ensure that you have a Macintosh installer program. This is used to install the printer driver software.
Ensure you have a browser (version 4.0 or higher) on your Macintosh in order to use Internet Services. Internet Services can be used to review and change connectivity settings.
