
Conventions Used in This Guide
Terminology and Font Conventions
References to other sections or documents are italicized.
Names of screen buttons and menu items are bold.
The term Select is used when choosing or highlighting an entry, or when choosing an option from a list. Selecting does not usually start an action.
For example: Select Print from the File menu.
The term Click is used to indicate an action carried out by depressing the left mouse button once. You may also
example: Click Exit.
When procedures include a series of menu selections, the series may be represented by a string of selections separated by the > symbol. For example: At the desktop select File > Print > Options.
For a series of directory tree selections, the + symbol is used. For example: In the directory tree, select Connectivity+Interface+Ethernet.
Procedures
The start of a procedure is marked by bold text and a right arrow icon in the left margin. For example:
