Ignore EOF Character

Yes/No [No]

This option appears only if Enable Parallel Port is set to Yes. This option specifies that the DocuColor should ignore end-of-file (EOF) messages in a file. This option must be set to Yes to print PostScript files in binary format (not ASCII); under normal circum- stances, it should be set to No. When this option is set to Yes, the DocuColor uses the parallel port timeout value to determine when the end of the file has been reached.

When you have configured the port options, choose another port type, or choose Exit Port Setup and proceed to Protocol Setup.

Protocol Setup options

To configure the DocuColor, choose each protocol and enter the settings for that protocol. You can enable TCP/IP and IPX/SPX communication simultaneously.

TCP/IP Setup options

To configure the DocuColor for TCP/IP, choose TCP/IP Setup.

Exit TCP/IP Setup

Token Ring Setup

Gateway Setup

TCP/IP Setup

Choose Ethernet Setup and enter the appropriate settings. Choose each network type you use (Ethernet and/or Token Ring) and enter the appropriate settings. Token Ring Setup appears as an option only if you have enabled Token Ring in Port Setup. If your network uses a gateway, enter the gateway address in Gateway Setup.

NOTE: If TCP/IP is running on both an Ethernet and a Token Ring network, it is assumed that the two networks are already routed to each other. The DocuColor does not function as a router.
