J.10.13.3.1 FTP Daemon Overview
The cwmftpd process is an ILOG server that allows CTM modules to request an FTP put, get, or directory listing service to and from network nodes or other CTMs. This server acts as an FTP client from an FTP communication standpoint and performs services similar to the interactive ftp program.

J.10.13.3.2 Generic Troubleshooting
When performing generic troubleshooting, always do the following:
•Check whether the cwmftpd process is up and running.
psg cwmftpd
•Check the free disk space.
df
•Check whether target switch/CTM is reachable.
•Check for debug level. If logs are not giving detailed information, debug level can be increased by editing ~svplus/config/cwmftpd.conf.
•Set the config parameter, LOG_LEVEL, to 7 to get detailed logs.

The command cwmftpd uses the node_info table of the stratacom database to retrieve the FTP username and password. For SCM requests, scmcollsvr sends the password along with the request.
