Processing a Letter Without Optional Scale

Use this method when you already know the weight of a mail piece and you are not using the optional scale.

1.Press Menu.

2.Use the Review keys to scroll and select "Type in a Weight?”.

3.Key in the weight in grams and press Enter/yes.

NOTE: If there was no class specified on the display when you entered the weight, you may need to scroll and select the desired class (if you are unsure if a particular class is best for your mail piece, call your local post office or visit www.canadapost.ca). Oth- erwise, the postage meter selects a class based on the weight of the mail piece.

4.The display shows the final postage amount and class chosen.

5.Slide the envelope (or tape sheet if mail piece is too big for ma- chine) into the mail deck. The postage meter prints the digital indicia and indicates when to remove the mail piece.
