Tsunami MP.11 Installation and Management

The wireless interface settings differ per mode.

WORP Base and WORP Satellite Mode

You can change the following parameters:

Interface Type

The interface type can be Worp Satellite or Worp Base.

Base Station System Name

The name found on the system page of the Base Station to which this satellite is connecting. If blank, this satellite can connect to any Base Station.

Network Name

A network name is name given to a network so that multiple networks can reuse the same frequency without problems. A satellite can only register to a base if it has the same Network Name. Note that the Network Name is sent without encryption and should not be used as security option; please use the Network Secret instead.

Frequency Channel

The frequency channel the MP.11 uses for communicating with remotes. The frequency channel can be set in the range 1 to 11 for the USA and Canada, or 1 to 13 for Europe, or 1 to 14 for Japan (see “Radio Specifications” on page 73).

Data Rate

The rate at which data is to be transferred. The default data rate is 11 Mbps.
