SymmetraTM Component

Description

 

 

Power Module

A 4kVA alternating current power processing unit. Slides into the SymmetraTM

frame.

 

 

 

Battery Module

A 120V DC battery string housed inside a plastic enclosure. Slides into a

SymmetraTM frame, and some Extended Run battery frames.

 

 

Main Intelligence Module(MIM)

The intelligence of the SymmetraTM system. Performs all monitoring, control and

communication functions.

 

 

 

Redundant Intelligence Module

A redundant version of the MIM. Allows the MIM to be hot-swappable without

(RIM)

interrupting the UPS power flow.

 

 

SymmetraTM System Frame

The SymmetraTM frame serves as the base for the modular components of the

system.

 

 

 

Power Flow Switches

The input circuit breaker(s) regulate power to the SymmetraTM. When in the "on"

position, the Maintenance Bypass Switch bypasses the SymmetraTM and connects

Grill Cover

Snaps to the front of the SymmetraTM frame.

 

 

 

ν A port for connecting a remote PowerView interface.

Communication Ports

ν A 9-pin computer interface port for APC PowerchutePlus software.

 

ν A communication port for some Extended Run battery frame models.

 

 

SmartSlot Accessory Ports

Four ports are provided for optional SmartSlotTM accessories.

 

 

Power Distribution Panel

Power distribution panel for plugging load equipment into the back of the

(Where applicable.)

SymmetraTM frame.

 

 

 

When in the "on" position, the SymmetraTM powers up internally, but does not power
