Changing Seat-to-Floor Height/Seat-to-Floor Angle

WARNING

Before performing this procedure, refer to Stability - All Models on page 12 for additional requirements.

DO NOT deviate from the charts on the following pages. If the restrictions for seat-to-floor heights and seat-to-floor angles are not followed, the wheelchair will be in an unsafe position. Before changing these settings, refer to the following charts for the allowable positions.

NOTE: For this procedure, refer to FIGURE 5.1.

NOTE: This section is for non‐recliner wheelchairs only. For recliners, refer to Changing Seat‐to‐Floor Height on page 77.

NOTE: Seat‐to‐floor angle adjustments are only available on 9000 XT with the offset axle option and adjustable caster journal (ADJC). All other models/options have a 3° seat‐to‐floor angle.

The different Seat‐to‐Floor heights and angles (Detail “A”) are possible by using different combinations of rear wheels, rear wheel positions, front caster positions, front caster size and cam positions.

1.Determine the model and frame style of your wheelchair. Refer to the following chart and FIGURE 5.1.
