Ethernet and Console Port Considerations

To connect a PC running terminal-emulation software to the console port, use an RJ-45-to-RJ-45 rollover cable and an RJ-45-to-DB-9 female DTE adapter (labeled TERMINAL). (For more information, see the “Serial (Console) Port” section on page 1-12.)

The default parameters for the console port are 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, and no hardware flow control.
