2.NE JAMAIS essayer d’enfoncer de goujons dans un matériau trop dur ou trop friable, y compris, entre autres, la fonte, le verre, le carrelage, la pierre, la brique ou l’acier trempé. De tels matériaux ont tendance à se briser et à faire voler des éclats dangereux.

3.NE JAMAIS enfoncer de goujons dans une surface écaillée ou craquelée.

4.NE JAMAIS enfoncer de goujons dans un matériau mince ou facilement pé- nétrable à moins que celui-ci ne soit renforcé de béton ou d’acier. En cas de doute, si le matériau est caché, effectuer un test de perforation centrale (voir page 63). Toujours faire des vériﬁcations aﬁn d’éviter de ﬁxer des goujons dans des matériaux inappropriés. Cela vaut en particulier pour les vieux bâtiments.

5.NE PAS enfoncer un goujon à une distance de moins 13 mm (0,5 po) d’un trou pratiqué à l’avance ni à travers un tel trou.
