Changing the needle plate (A), (C)

Your machine comes with the General Purpose Needle Plate (A) attached. The Straight Stitch Needle Plate (C) may be purchased at your sewing centre and can be attached as follows:

•Raise needle and presser foot.

•Open slide plate.

•Lift up needle plate from right corner and slide out from under foot.

•To replace needle plate, slide it under pin (1) and push it firmly to the left.

•Press down until it snaps into place.

Attaching the feed cover (F)

The feed cover is used to keep the feed from moving the fabric when attaching a button, darning or sewing free-motion embroidery. To attach it, follow the directions below:

•Raise needle and presser foot.

•Open slide plate.

•Slide feed cover on top of needle plate, pressing tabs (1) and (2) into holes.

•Close slide plate.

•To remove, open slide plate and lift front edge of cover; pull it away.

Removing the

extension table (Free-Arm)

Free arm sewing makes it easier to sew hard-to- reach areas.

To change machine for free-arm sewing, lift right edge (1) of extension table, slide it to the left and off the machine.

To replace the extension table, slide it to the right keeping it even with the free-arm, until the tabs on the right lock into place.

Cambio de la plancha de aguja (A), (C)

Su máquina vienen con la plancha de aguja de uso general (A). La plancha de aguja para costura recta (C) puede ser adquirida en su centro de costura y se coloca de la siguiente manera:

•Eleve la aguja y el prensatelas.

•Abra la plancha corredera.

•Suba la plancha de aguja desde la esquina de la derecha y quítela por debajo del prensatelas.

•Para colocarla, deslícela debajo del perno (1) y presione hacia el lado izquierdo.

•Presione hasta que encaje en su sitio.

Colocación de la plancha cubre arrastre (F)

La plancha cubre arrastre se usa para aislar el género de los dientes de arrastre, al zurcir o bordar. Para colocarlo haga lo siguiente:

•Eleve la aguja y el prensatelas.

•Abra la plancha corredera.

•Deslice la plancha cubre arrastre sobre la parte superior de la plancha de aguja presionando los pivotes (1), (2) sobre los agujeros.

•Cierre la plancha corredera.

•Para quitarla, abra la plancha corredera y levante la plancha por su extremo y tire de ella.

Desmontaje base

de extensión (Base Libre)

La base libre permite coser en áreas de difícil acceso.

Para disponer la máquina para este tipo de costura, levante el borde de la derecha (1) de la base, deslícelo hacia la izquierda y retírelo.

Para volver a colocarlo, deslícelo hacia la derecha, manteniéndolo al nivel del brazo libre hasta llegar a su tope.

Nettoyage de votre machine

Retirer et replacer le support de canette

Attention: Avant de nettoyer votre machine, débranchez-la.

•Relevez le pied presseur el l’aiguille.

•Ouvrez la plaque glissière, enlevez la canette et retirez la plaque à aiguille (voir page 15).

Pour retirer le support de canette

•Avec un petit tournevis, tournez le loquet (1) vers l’arrière aussi loin que possible.

•Soulevez le côté gauche du support de canette. Glissez-le hors de la machine.

Pour remettre en place le support de canette

•Placez la fourche (2) sous les griffes d’entrainement (3).

•Placez le bord opposé dans son logement (4). Assurez-vous que le crochet de la machine tourne librement autour du support, en tournant le volant à la main.

•Tournez le loquet (1) vers l’avant aussi loin que possible, il verrouille le support en place.

Note: contrôlez la bonne mise en place en tournant le volant à la main.

•Replacez la plaque à aiguille (voir page 15).

•Remettez en place la canette.
