Step 3

•Raise needle out of fabric.

•Turn buttonhole dial to the buttonhole symbol

(3) for the third step.

•Stitch up to point (5).

Step 4

•Raise needle out of fabric.

•Turn buttonhole dial to the buttonhole symbol

(4) for the fourth step.

•Make at least four stitches, ending at point (6).

•Raise presser foot and remove garment from machine.

•Clip thread ends.

•Carefully cut buttonhole opening with a seam ripper or small, sharp scissors.

Mise en place de la canette

Pour mettre en place la canette, faites comme suit:

•Relevez le pied presseur.

•Relevez l'aiguille en position haute.

•Ouvrez la plaque glissière et retirez la canette vide.

1.Tirez 10 cm de fil de nouvelle canette et posez la canette dans son support comme illustré.

2.En maintenant en place la canette, tirez le fil dans le cran (1) dans la fente (2) sur la gauche.

Balancing the buttonhole

On some kinds of fabrics, there may be a difference in the density of the stitches on the right or the left side of the buttonhole.

This is easily adjusted by turning the balance knob (1), in the center of the stitch length dial to balance the density of the stitching.

A very slight turn of the dial will produce a noticeable change.

•If the stitches on the right side of the buttonhole ( I ) are too open, turn the balance dial slightly to the right, until the density of the stitches increases.

•If the stitches on the left side of the buttonhole ( II ) are too open, turn the balance slightly to the left, until the density of the stitches increases.

After the buttonhole has been made and the balance has been alterated, return the balance dial back to its neutral position after all the buttonholes on the garment have been sewn.

Nivelación de ojales

En algunos tipos de tejidos, puede producirse una diferencia en la densidad de los puntos bien en el lado derecho o en el izquierdo del ojal.

Esta diferencia se ajusta fácilmente girando el botón (1) situado en el centro del dial de longitud del punto, para nivelar la densidad del punto.

Después de haber realizado el ojal y de haber alterado el nivelador, gire el botón nivelador a su posición neutra, después de haber completado todos los ojales de la prenda.

3.Tirez quelques centimètres de fil en diagonale et vers l'arrière de la machine.

4.Pendant que vous tenez le fil à l'extérieur, fermez la plaque glissière pour que le fil se situe dans la fente entre la plaque glissière et la plaque à aiguille.
