4 Zig-zag stitching

Stitch pattern selector

(only for machines with 5, 6, 8 and 10 stitches)

Raise the needle to its highest position.

Set the stitch width selector to the straight

position ( ). (This allows the pattern selector to be moved easily).

Slide the pattern selector to the centre of the desired pattern group (A-E).

Needle position selector

Before moving selector, make sure needle is fully raised.

Most of your zig-zag stitching will be done with

the needle in the centre ( ) position.

Left ( ) and right ( ) settings are used for special stitch placement.

Stitch width selector

Before moving selector, make sure needle is fully raised.

To produce any of the zig-zag stitches, the stitch width selector is moved from its straight

position ( ) to any of its other positions. The further you move the selector lever toward the right, the wider your stitch will be.

La couture échelle réalisée avec le point caché est en même temps fonctionnelle et décorative. Cette couture permet l’assemblage de tissus tricot et extensibles et les finitions des bords de col, encolures, poches dans les vêtements de sport.

Faites un essai pour régler la tension et la longueur de point. La tension devra être plus lâche que la normale.

Coupez en prévoyant une couture de 1,6cm. Batissez la ligne de couture.

Positionnez le tissu de sorte que les points zig- zag tombent sur la ligne de couture.

Lorsque vous avez terminé la couture, tirez le tissu de chaque côté de la piqûre pour obtenir l’effet échelle et repasser couture ouverte.
