Call Blocking

The Call Blocking feature detects “Private Name” and/or “Private number” incoming calls. When “Private Name” or “Private number” calls are received, Call Blocking directs the call to be answered after the first ring by the answering machine. The caller will hear

the Private Greeting if you have recorded one. See The Private Greeting on page 15 for more information. The Call Blocking option default is off.

For example:

You may be receiving nuisance calls from “Private Number” and/or “Private Name” call- ers. Enabling Call Blocking sends these types of calls to the answering machine after the first ring instead of interrupting you.

To enable call blocking:

1.Press the Set Options key.

2.Use ªto scroll to number 16 or press ⁄flto go directly to the item.

3.Press to enable or disable call blocking.

4.Press ®.

Using a headset

To connect the headset, you must disconnect the handset and attach the headset to the jack

labeled .

You cannot use Handsfree when the headset mode is enabled. The ©key is used to answer the call. Press ®when the call is finished.

Note: When the headset mode is enabled, the handset must remain in the cradle. The headset mode default is off.

Changing the headset mode

To change the headset mode:

1.Press the Set Options key.

2.Use ªto scroll to number 22 or press ¤¤.

3.Press to enable or disable the headset mode.

4.Press ®.

We suggest contacting the manufacturers Brock Telecom, UNEX, ACS Communications or Plantronics for compatible headsets/amplifiers.
