Cleaning Connections for Accurate Measurements

Use the following guidelines to achieve the best possible performance when making measurements on a fiber- optic system:

•Never use metal or sharp objects to clean a connector and never scrape the connector.

•Avoid matching gel and oils.

For WLIMitOFF, searching starts at 1650 nm and progresses towards 1270 nm. For WLIMitON, searching starts at WLIMitSTART and progresses toward WLIMitSTOP. These peak values are then placed into the corrected data buffer. Each peak value consists of an amplitude and wavelength measurement.
