a. Ifyoudon't need to dial a number to
accessan outside line, press the Dial/
Enter buttonandgotoStep8.
b. Alternatively,enter the trunk access
code(up to 4 digits), press the Dial/
Enter buttonandgotoStep8.
c. If you enter a trunk access code by
mistake,press the Delete butt on or
the "button to delete the digits.
Thetrunk access code will be automatically dialed prior to any number
over 6 digits stored in the caller ID memory only.
Note: Numbersstored in the directoryor a s programmablekeys
willnot have the trunk access code automatically dialed —
youwill need to include the trunk access code as part of the
dialing stream when storing numbers to the directory or
programmable keys.
A storednumber w ith 6 or fewer digits is considered an internal
extensionnumber. A PAUSE period or 3 seconds delay is inserted
automaticallybetween the trunk access code and the phone number.
8. Press the Menu or Save button to save these operating settings and to
exit the menu mode.
9. After installation, lift the telephone's Handset and listen for the dial
tone. If there is no dial tone, check to make sure all cords are fir mly
pluggedinto their jacks.
Note: Programmingyour area code will allow you to easily dial numbers
that are in your Caller ID list. See the Section “Calling Back a
Number from the Caller ID List” for more information on dialing
callsf rom your Caller ID list.
Wall Mounting
1. Turnthe phone over so that you are looking at thebottom of the phone.
Inserttabs at the thin end of the wall mount bracket into the holes at
therear of the phone bottom. Press and latch the tabs at the thicker end
