Message Indication

TheMessage indicator flashes to indicate a message(s) in the extension’s
voice mailbox, if message waiting is enabled in this line.
When you have messages waiting in your voice mailbox, an envelope-
shapedVoice Mail Waiting icon “!” will flasho n the LCD.

Clearing the Message Waiting Indicator

Whenever you havea new message, the red light labeled Message will
flash.After you listen to your new message, the message waiting indicators
will turn off automatically after a short delay.
Note: Ifa phone is idle with no Caller ID or Caller Name displayed in the
LCD,hitting the Delete button willonly clear the message waiting
light,but doesn’t delete your voice mail message.

UNAVAILABLE, PRIVATE CALL and ERROR Messages

Certainmessages may appear instead of a caller'sname and/or number:
1. Thes creenwill display “UNAVAILABLE” if a call i srecei ved
withoutCaller ID. This can include long distance, international, and
sometimeseven local phone calls.
2. Thescreen will display “PRIVATE CALL”
ifa caller's information is blocked from being
transmitted.For privacy reasons, many states
allow callers the ability to block his or her
telephoneinformation from being displayed on another person's Caller
IDdisplay.
3. Thes creenwill display “ERROR”ifthe
caller'sinformation being transmit ted to your
telephoneis corrupt or contains some errors
fromthe transmission process.

Electrostatico r power surge (e.g., from lightning) may cause the phone to
lockup. There are two ways to reset this phone.
