6. When the desired character is displayed, you can enter the next
character.
7. Ifyou have to use the same button to enter the next character, press the
$button to move the cursor to the next position and enter the next
character.
8. If you will use a different button to enter the next character, simply
press that button. The cursor will move to the next position
automatically.
9. To insert a space, press the $button tomove the cursor to the right.
10. Tore-enter acharacter, press the " buttonor th e $buttontomove
the cursorto the character you wish to modify.
11. Afterentering all characters, press t he Savebu tton to save this
number/name to the memory button.
Caller ID

Caller ID Service

The“caller id entification” service (Caller ID) allows the caller's phone
numberand/or name to be shown on the display as the call comes in before
youpick up the phone. Before using thisfeature, please make sure you have
properlyentered your area code as explained in the “Programming Your
AreaCode” step of the Installatio n section of this manual (“Program your
areacode” on page 6).
Important:When a new call comes in, you must let your phone ring at
least 2 fullt imes ino rder for the Caller ID information to be
displayed.

Caller ID Display

Whenyou receive a call, the phone number
appearson the display with the day and time
thecall was received and is then stored in
the CallMemory as shown.
Ifyour Caller ID service includes the
caller'sn ame,then the caller'sname also
appears on the display (up to 15 letters) as
shown.
