Only qualiﬁed personnel should install the 2H28-08R.

This chapter provides the instructions to install the 2H28-08R. Follow the order of the sections listed below to correctly install the 2H28-08R.

•Installing the 2H28-08R (on a shelf, tabletop, or into a standard rack) (Section 3.4)

3.1REQUIRED TOOLS

A Phillips screwdriver is required to install the 2H28-08R in a rack, and to install any optional Fast Ethernet Interface Modules.

To unpack the 2H28-08R and verify the contents of the shipment, proceed as follows:

1.Open the carton and remove the packing material protecting the 2H28-08R.

2.Verify the contents of the carton as listed in Table 3-1.
