5.9 SNMP TRAPS SCREEN

Since the 2H28-08R is an SNMP compliant device, it can send messages

to multiple Network Management Stations to alert users of status

changes. The SNMP Traps screen is shown in Figure 5-15.

To access the SNMP Traps screen from the Device Conﬁguration Menu

screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the SNMP TRAPS menu item and

press ENTER. The SNMP Traps screen displays.

The following explains each ﬁeld of the SNMP Traps screen.

Trap Destination (Modiﬁable)

Indicates the IP address of the workstation to receive trap alarms. Up to

eight different destinations can be deﬁned.

Trap Community Name (Modiﬁable)

Displays the community name included in the trap message sent to the

Network Management Station with the associated IP address.
