Before switching between colour printing and black-and-white printing, you must adjust the settings with your software application and prepare your printer by installing an appropriate BJ Cartridge.

Setting up a software application

Some software applications allow you to select colour printing or black- and-white printing for each document. With such an application, you may need to change the selection of colour or black-and-white printing.

Printing with DOS applications

Selecting a printer driver

To print in colour, you must select an appropriate printer driver for colour printing from a printer selection menu that most DOS software applications provide.

Setting up a software application

Some software applications allow you to select colour printing or black- and-white printing for each document. If the printer only prints in black- and-white even if you have selected a correct printer name for colour printing, check the software application’s printer setup menu.
