Press down on the high side of the BJ Cartridge until it snaps into the cartridge holder.

Close the top cover.

Wait about three seconds and press the CARTRIDGE button once.

After the BJ Cartridge is installed, the printer requires at least two seconds to detect the presence of the BJ Cartridge. The cartridge holder moves to the home position, and the printer automatically executes print head cleaning. Once print head cleaning is completed, the printer is ready to print.

If print quality problems such as white streaks, missing dots, or irregular dots are found in the initial printout, clean the print head. (☞ 80)
