Troubleshooting in SCO OpenServer

Verify that the tape driver is configured in the kernel:

1.Determine if the driver is installed or identify the current tape parameters using one of these methods:

Use the Hwconfig command

View the /USR/ADM/MESSAGES file

2.Install the driver in the kernel or modify the current tape parameters using the Mkdev Tape command.

Troubleshooting in IBM OS/2

The appropriate software driver must be installed for the drive to function correctly. If the drive does not function correctly:

1.Reinstall the software driver.

2.Verify that the appropriate statement was added to the CONFIG.SYS file during the installation of the software driver. Add the statement if it is missing.

3.Restart your system if you make any changes.

IMPORTANT: Refer to your IBM OS/2 software documentation for more information.
