Installing Dynamic C®

Insert the CD from the Development Kit in your PC’s CD-ROM drive. If the installation does not auto-start, run the setup.exe program in the root directory of the Dynamic C CD. Install any Dynamic C modules after you install Dynamic C.

1.3 Development and Evaluation Tools

1.3.1 RCM4000 Development Kit

The RCM4000 Development Kit contains the hardware essentials you will need to use your RCM4000 module. The items in the Development Kit and their use are as follows.

•RCM4010 module.

•Prototyping Board.

•AC adapter, 12 V DC, 1 A. (Included only with Development Kits sold for the North American market. A header plug leading to bare leads is provided to allow overseas users to connect their own power supply with a DC output of 8–24 V at 8 W.)

•10-pin header to DE9 programming cable with integrated level-matching circuitry.

•10-pin header to DB9 serial cable.

•Dynamic C® CD-ROM, with complete product documentation on disk.

•Getting Started instructions.

•A bag of accessory parts for use on the Prototyping Board.

•Rabbit 4000 Processor Easy Reference poster.

•Registration card.
