Notational Conventions
The section uses the following conventions:
Syntax Example | Description |
Cancel | Boldface type indicates the name of an item |
| (a parameter name, command button, menu option, etc.) |
| you need to select or perform an action on. |
RESET | UPPERCASE TYPE indicates keywords. The actual |
| words can be entered in either uppercase or lowercase. |
[ /C n ] | Items enclosed in square brackets are optional. You can |
| either include them or not. Do not enter the brackets. If |
| the items are separated by vertical bars, you must choose |
| one of the items. Enter only one item. Do not enter the |
| vertical bar. |
numHops | Items in lowercase italic type are |
| Replace these items with values appropriate to your |
| system. |
{ THIS THAT } | Two or more items enclosed in braces and separated by a |
| vertical bars means you must choose one item. Enter only |
| one item. Do not enter the vertical bar. |
For example, if a command is presented as:
SET DHCP LEASEDURATION duration { MINS HOURS DAYS }
the following can be concluded:
SET DHCP LEASEDURATION Enter as shown.
duration | Replace duration with a value you supply. |
{MINS HOURS DAYS } Use one of these three choices.
For example: SET DHCP LEASEDURATION 10 HOURS
