V.120 scripting

To successfully log on to your ISP, you will need to define a script to automatically execute the log on process for you. The DIVA LAN ISDN Modem contains a pre-defined script that should work in the majority of cases. However, you may need to modify this script for your installation.

To modify this script, you need to determine the sequence of events that occur when logging on to your ISP, and the input that must be sent. For example:

Step 1: Your ISP issues the prompt “Login:” and expects you to send your user name, then press Enter.

Step 2: Your ISP issues the prompt “password:” and expects you to send your password, then press Enter.

For more information on scripting see “Making a V.120 connection” on page 136.
