Connecting a Monitor

The VOYAGER 3000 is shipped with a serial cable for making the connection from the options board at the rear of the system to an external monitor. To use the monitor utility, run the cable from the VOYAGER 3000 to your monitor. The terminal should be configured as shown in Table 4-1 and set up for VT100 emulation.

Emulating a Monitor

If you do not have a dedicated monitor at your disposal, you can still access the VOYAGER 3000 monitor utility by using a PC and communications software to emulate a monitor. In this example, we will use the Microsoft Windows V3.X11 Terminal program.
